Institut Pasteur and CFR: development of a monoclonal antibody for chronic pain treatment:
For the first time the prestigious Institut Pasteur is going to be associated with a company outside Europe to work together in seeking the inhibition of pain mediators, to be used in pathologies such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The products to be developed are therapeutic monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against a therapeutic target that has shown to play a key role in noceciception and current evidence indicates its blockage by mAbs results in long lasting analgesia.
